Instituto Politécnico Turia has trained electricians, HVAC technicians and automotive mechanics in Valencia since 1996. The academy runs full workshop floors for each trade — wired panels for electrical certification, working refrigeration units for HVAC, and a fleet of retired vehicles for automotive diagnostics — alongside classroom modules on trade regulations and safety. Around 1,400 students pass through its programmes each year, split between two-year vocational tracks and shorter adult retraining courses for career changers. The academy employs close to 260 people, most of them trade instructors who still hold licenses in their field, plus workshop technicians who maintain equipment and an administrative team running enrolment, exams and job placement. All workshops and classrooms sit on a single campus outside the city centre.
